Professor of Mechanical Engineering

Friends University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in the Division of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics to teach in and help develop our ABET-accredited Mechanical Engineering undergraduate program. This nine-month appointment includes teaching core engineering courses, such as fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and machine design, along with corresponding labs. Program oversight, student advising, recruitment, and participation in the ABET accreditation process are also key responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• University-level teaching or substantial industry experience.
