Planning a Section meeting (draft document) 

To all Section Officers, ASEE is pleased to archive your section’s proceedings on PEER. ASEE's IT team will need the following to archive Section proceedings.

1. A collection of all the PDF files for the conference papers. Each paper is a separate pdf file. PDF is the only document format allowed when uploading to PEER. It is important to make sure that all the materials saved in Word, PowerPoint or other formats must be converted to PDF before submitting a request. You will zip these PDF files along with the metadata file to submit to us.
2. A DOI metadata form holding the paper and author information. You can find the DOI metadata template here.

Please follow these instructions to complete the DOI metadata form. The DOI metadata form has the following information

• author_first_name

  • This should be the first name of the author of each document
  • If there are multiple authors, add 1 line for each in the DOI form
  • The first author listed will be recorded as the primary author
  • This field can include the first name and middle name(s) of an author

• author_last_name

  • This should be the last name of the author of each document
  • If there are multiple authors, add 1 line for each in the DOI form
  • The first author listed will be recorded as the primary author

• presentation_title

  • This should be the document title
  • The title entered here is what will appear as the title in PEER

• topic

  • This should be the topic name of the document
  • You can find a list of available topics here
  • If there are multiple topics, add 1 line for each in the DOI form

• primary_topic

  • This should be either a '1' or a '0' depending on whether the topic on this line is the primary topic

• pdf_name

  • The PDF file name must match the name of the file without the PDF extension
  • The file name must not have any spaces
