Workshop Organizers


Take part in the Engineering Education Community. ASEE Annual Conference will be hosting Sunday Workshop at the Annual Conference.  The deadline to submit applications has passed. Workshop applications will be evaluated by the ASEE Professional Interest Council Chairs. Application status will be communicated directly to the Workshop Organizer by the end of February

Workshop Application Terms & Conditions 

  •  Proposals may be sponsored by an ASEE division (“Division Workshops”) or outside of the ASEE division structure (“Sponsored Workshops”). Division Workshop applications are strongly encouraged.
  • Division Workshop applications MUST be submitted by the sponsoring division’s program chair.
  • Sponsored Workshops may be submitted by the workshop organizers.
  • A workshop application template and rubric can be found at this link.
  • Both types of workshops require a non-refundable $150 application fee, which can be paid directly to ASEE or through Division BASS funds.
  • Workshops are scheduled from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at the Montreal Convention Center. Dates and times are not flexible.
  • All applications are subject to review by the PIC Chairs. ASEE will notify organizers whether their workshop has been accepted or rejected after the PIC Chair meeting.
  • Workshops must be subsidized either through ticket revenue, sponsorship, or other means. These means must be identified during the application process.
  • All workshops will be ticketed in order to track attendance. If your workshop is sponsored or will be subsidized by other means, please assign a $0 ticket value. Ticketed information is due with the workshop application.
  • All workshop requirements, including complete information for speakers, should be included with the application for consideration.

If Your Workshop is Accepted

  •  Workshop organizers will be given access to their sessions. They will be sent a notification.
  • If you have any questions or have trouble accessing your session online, please contact us at conferences@asee.org
  • All workshop organizers must be registered for the Annual Conference to conduct their workshop on site.
  • Details on how to request a special set, food and beverage, or additional AV will be sent in a separate email, after the acceptance notification has been sent.
  • All workshops will be set classroom style-rows of tables and chairs. Special sets will incur a $500 fee.
  • Food and beverages are not provided for Sunday workshops. They can be made available at an additional cost.
  • Internet for all attendees can be arranged for an additional fee and must be requested. If you need internet access only for the presenter, we suggest using your phone as a hotspot.
  • An LCD projector, screen, AV table, podium, and mic are included in each room. Additional AV equipment must be requested by June 6 and may incur additional fees.
  • Any additional fees for requested food and beverages, additional AV, special set, internet, etc., will be invoiced in advance and must be paid by June 6, 2025.
  • Computers are not provided and are the responsibility of the presenter.
  • Handouts are the responsibility of the presenter. ASEE cannot create, reproduce, or distribute handouts.

Deadlines

  • You will have until May 23, 2025 to cancel this workshop due to lack of attendance.
  • After May 24, 2025 the workshop is confirmed, and any revenue shortfall will be the responsibility of the workshop organizer.
  • No changes or additional requests of any type can be accepted after May 23, 2025.
