The Learning Systems Institute (LSI) and the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering at Florida State University invite applications for a nine-month, tenure-line, assistant or associate professor position, jointly appointed. We seek a colleague committed to research, mentorship, teaching, and advising, incorporating equity, inclusion, and belonging as guiding principles.
LSI has a long and distinguished record of engagement in educational research and development in Asia, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East. Founded in 1969, it is one of the oldest, largest, and most productive university-based education research organizations in the United States, attracting more than $700 million in grants and contracts from 130 funding agencies, including the U.S. Agency for International Development, National Science Foundation, US Department of Education, US Department of Defense, Florida Department of Education, and several others. At present, approximately 100 LSI faculty and staff are engaged in more than forty-five active projects with activities in 13 countries across four continents. LSI is also the home of the Florida Center for Research in STEM (FCR-STEM). FCR-STEM is the state’s official research and development center for K-12 STEM education. FCR-STEM was founded in 2007 and has attracted more than $150 million in external grant funding for basic research, curriculum development, teacher professional development, and innovative teaching and learning technologies.
