Faculty Position in Engineering
College of the Ozarks seeks a full-time engineering faculty member starting fall 2025. The ABET-accredited multi-disciplinary engineering program includes core courses in mechanical, electrical, civil, industrial, agricultural, and chemical engineering. Our student-focused undergraduate institution values self-motivated, versatile faculty with strong teaching skills and the ability to work and communicate effectively with other faculty members. Candidates must embrace the College’s Christ-centered mission, be committed to undergraduate teaching excellence, desire to serve as a mentor and role model, and pursue integration of engineering teaching and practice with Christian faith.
Teaching responsibilities include core engineering topics in areas of departmental need, particularly those relevant to the selected candidate's engineering background. Candidates with experience in industrial, manufacturing or chemical engineering and who can teach courses across multiple disciplines will be given preference. Non-teaching responsibilities include working with other faculty and staff to maintain laboratory equipment, advising students, and participating in assessment and evaluation activities.
A Ph.D. in engineering, teaching experience, engineering licensure, and industry experience are preferred. As a minimum, the candidate should possess either a P.E.; an M.S. in engineering; or an M.S. in a relevant non-engineering field accompanied by significant, documented engineering experience.
College of the Ozarks is a small (1,400 students), work-study college with a commitment to evangelical Christian faith and service, located near Branson Missouri (www.cofo.edu). Class sizes are small, generally 10-30 students in STEM courses. The college has a strong sense of community among faculty, staff, and students.
