This award recognizes an individual or group of individuals in the development and dissemination of excellent teaching materials and methods in Biological and Agricultural Engineering.
Individuals need not be members of ASEE, but preference will be given to ASEE members. The award consists of a $500 honorarium and an inscribed plaque, which are presented during the ASEE Annual Conference.
Nomination packets must include the following: A nomination letter (up to 3 pages) that describes the innovation and excellence of a specific teaching material or method. Letter should highlight impacts on student learning. Supporting materials (curriculum, publications, teaching philosophy etc.) relevant to the specific teaching material or method. Selection Process: Nominees are evaluated on the innovation and excellence of a specific teaching material or method. A simple majority vote will determine the committee’s recommendation for the award recipient.
