This year’s 49th annual ASEE Conference for Industry and Education Collaboration (CIEC) is organized by the Cooperative and Experiential Education Division (CEED), the College Industry Partnership Division (CIPD), the Continuing, Professional, and Online Education Division (CPOED), and the Engineering Technology Division (ETD). Since 1976, this conference has been a place for workshops, technical sessions, training, and plenary keynote and panels emphasizing the long and mutually beneficial partnerships among education, industry, and government.

This year’s conference theme is Replicating Success in an Ever-Changing Environment. The draft program is below, and the final program will be available in December 2024.

TRAVEL

The conference hotel is Green Valley Ranch Resort and Spa. A group of rooms has been blocked at a reduced rate of $199 (plus a $30 resort fee) and taxes.  A link for hotel reservations will be available in early fall.

The nearest airport is the Las Vegas Airport, known as the Harry Reid International Airport (LAS), and from there, the hotel is a 10–15-minute ride to the hotel.   Taxis and other options, such as Uber, are available.

Hoover Dam Visit on Friday - The Cooperative & Experiential Education Division (CEED) has organized a tour of the Hoover Dam for interested participants on Friday, February 7, during the 2025 CIEC in Henderson, NV.  Find information about this visit here

DIVISION DESCRIPTIONS

Cooperative and Experiential Education Division (CEED)

This division strives to develop high principles and maintain the integrity of cooperative education throughout academia and industry. Its general goals are to foster a better understanding of cooperative education, improve co-op services to employers, and promote cooperative education in engineering and engineering technology to business and industry, both nationally and internationally. The division also emphasizes professional standards and accreditation of co-op programs.

 

College-Industry Partnerships Division (CIPD)

CIPD is an organization that fosters a strong alliance between engineering employers, educators, and those interested in promoting partnerships that enhance science and technology.

 

Continuing Professional Development Division (CPDD)

Newly renamed! The Continuing, Professional, and Online Education Division fosters the development, delivery, and improvement of continuing education in all areas related to the allied branches of science, technology, engineering, and math. CPOED provides advocacy for and leadership in lifelong learning and creates opportunities for exchanging information and expertise among educational program providers and consumers.

 

Engineering Technology Division (ETD)

ETD's principal function is to support individual members’ interests related to engineering technology. Its membership comprises public and private two—and four-year engineering technology educators worldwide and representatives from industries that employ engineering technology graduates.
